How big is the studio?
The main photographic shooting space is approximately 6 x 10 meters, with a ceiling
height of 3.30 meters. There is also a lounge with comfortable sofas for relaxation
and discussions during a photo shoot. The lounge is also equipped with a TV, a DVD,
a computer with 1Mb/s internet connection, as well as a fully equipped kitchen (coffee
machine, electric kettle, dishes, cutlery, coffee, tea, and cool drinks such as
cola, water, etc…). There is also a make-up room, bathroom, and a shower.
What kinds of paper backgrounds are available?
The paper backgrounds are 2.75 meters wide – white, gray, and black always available.
There are also other colors available, such as beige, brown, etc…, if you inform
us of your needs in advance. The background sheets are not fixed onto the wall –
instead, they are attached on strut poles (autopoles) so that you may use only the
blank wall if you wish. We charge 250,- CZK for every used meter of the paper background.
May I visit the studio in advance, to look through?
Yes, you may visit and look through the studio in advance. However, you must arrange
for a date and time by contacting us by telephone: (Jana Rabenhauptova) +420 724
033 573 or by e-mail:

How much is the studio rental fee?
You may check the price list
here.
How much is the rental of equipment?
You may download the price lists in PDF format.
Profoto
Equipment PhaseOne, Hasselblad and Olympus Equipment
May I leave the equipment in the studio when I am using it for
two separate days?
Yes, as long as there is no other rental to someone else in between your days.
What if I have no experience with Profoto equipment?
We will provide a short training session if you need it. However, all operations
are very easy and intuitive, and there is nothing to be afraid of.
How far in advance do I need to reserve the studio or equipment?
There are no deadlines. If the studio is free and after a telephone confirmation
you may shoot immediately or the very next day.
Do I need to make a refundable advance deposit?
No. You only pay for the rental of the studio and equipment. Printed on the reverse
side of the rental agreement are the terms of rental that clearly specify the leaseholder
is responsible for all costs in the event of any damage to rented equipment. You
may read the full version of the terms of rental
here.
May I use my own equipment in the studio?
Yes, that is always possible. But even though you may not use the two basic lights
as in the Classic Package, the price remains at 2.600,- CZK for the studio for a
half-day, and 4.650,- CZK for an entire day.
What if a modeling lamp cracks during the rental?
After a few experiences of charging the leaseholder for a cracked lamp, we have
changed the system and now include the appropriate price for a modeling lamp in
the rental fee, because the bulbs obviously wear out without warning.
What if any equipment is damaged during the rental?
The extent of any damage is evaluated during the return of the equipment and the
client is required to pay for the cost of repairs. If the equipment is necessary
during your rental period and if possible for us to do so, we will make every effort
to replace the equipment.
When can I pick up or return the equipment?
That is up to the individual. We will always try to arrange it so that the time
is suitable for both the client and us. If the client requires very early or late
hours, then the client is charged an additional fee of 300,- CZK. The same fee applies
to either pick ups or returns, during weekends or holidays.
What if I do not use some of the equipment, do I get my money back?
No. Once the equipment is rented, the full rental price applies, and there is no
refund.
What if I realize during the rental that some equipment is missing?
We take special care and make sure that you have all compatible accessories to the
equipment you need to use. As an example, there is no possibility that you would
order a big umbrella Profoto 7’ Reflector without us advising you to use a heavy
tripod for the umbrella, since a smaller lighter tripod would not work. And in situations
where you really need something that you simply forgot to order, it may be possible
for us to add that equipment during the rental.
What if I am not sure exactly what equipment I am going to use?
May I choose it when I sign the contract?
Yes, it may be possible. However, we can not guarantee that all equipment will be
available during the time you are signing the contract - the signing of the contract
and receipt of the tax certificate takes approximately 10 minutes.
How will I be able to carry away the equipment?
You will get special bags or crates. It is in our own best interest that the equipment
does not get damaged in any way.
I will be shooting outdoors for a few days, with no source of electricity.
Do you have a solution?
Battery generators Pro 7b would be ideal. Also, if you would like to rent reserve
batteries and an adapter that is chargeable in a car, you will be absolutely independent.
Is the equipment insured?
We lend the equipment to you for very reasonable prices, which do not cover the
cost of insurance. However, when you sign the rental agreement, you can pay an additional
fee for insurance that will cover any possible damage to the equipment.
